Things to do in Fairfield County, Connecticut: February – The excitement of the holidays may be over, but don’t let that slow you down! There are plenty of exciting and fun events for all kinds of occasions happening right here in Fairfield County. Whether you’re looking for an idea for a Valentine’s Day date night out or a neat trip for the family, there’s something going on to suit your taste (and your budget). Get out of the house and explore what the area has to offer!

Below are a few events in February that we are excited for.  We hope you are, too!

  1. Peter and the Starcatcher, Feb 1, 2 p.m., Shubert Theater, New Haven: How did Peter Pan come to Neverland and become leader of the Lost Boys? That’s what this fun, acclaimed musical describes. Fun for both kids and grown-ups, this would be a fun afternoon adventure for your family. Visit the theater’s website for more information.
  2. Salsa night and class, Feb 11, 7:45 p.m., Maria Fioras Dance Studio, Stamford: Have a fun night out with your special someone and learn to move, latin style! Learn salsa and bachata dancing from a professional instructor, then dance the night away. Cost is $20-25 for an 8-class card. Learn more here.
  3. Valentine’s Day Rockin’ Dinner Dance, Feb 14, 7 p.m., Roberto’s Restaurant, Monroe: Want a fun night out for Valentine’s Day? Heat to Roberto’s for a night of food, drinks, a silent auction, dancing and more! All proceeds for the night go to opening Connecticut’s first cancer support community center.   4. Rick Springfield, Feb 26, 8 p.m., Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield: Want to rock out?
