As the weather shifts from the damp spring, to the dry summer, you want to make sure you – and your home – are prepared. There are a number of things to get your home ready for a Connecticut summer, so make sure you prioritize to make sure everything is complete on time. Here are five things you can do to get your home ready for the summertime in Connecticut.

 

Clean the Gutters

  • The summers in Connecticut are known to be beautiful, but the winter months are brutal. Cleaning the gutters is maintenance you should do in the summer, so the build up doesn’t become too much when the cold months come around. Let’s be honest, you don’t want to be outside on a ladder in the middle of winter!

 

Trim the Trees

  • Another chore you won’t want to do when the temperature is below zero is trimming the trees in your yard. Sure, they’re beautiful and provide shade from the sun; however, when there is a pound of snow on them it can become hazardous.
